Collinge & Co. offers an alternative to the standard burial – ECO-FRIENDLY FUNERALS.

If you opt for an eco-friendly funeral, we will utilise a raw pine coffin to prepare the deceased in. A coffin made of raw pine has minimal impact on the environment, both during the manufacturing process, and during the decomposition phase. No paints or varnishes are used, and calico is used in place of plastic for the lining. Glue is kept to a minimum. The handles are made from natural rope. 

The cost of an eco-friendly funeral is much the same as a traditional funeral, except that there is no tombstone to purchase.
