Our pets often become like one of our children, and when they die or have to be
put to sleep, the owners can experience the same grief as they would when a
family member passes away.
We can arrange to have our vehicle
collect him/her from the place of death, whether it be at your vet or from home.
Collinge & Co. will then arrange to have your pet cremated, with or without a
service, and we will deliver the ashes to your house.
We understand how important your companion is to you, and we will ensure that
our exacting standards are used at all times whilst dealing with your pet. We
will endeavour to give you the opportunity to make the “Goodbye” a special one.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet
goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special
friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and
sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those
who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember
them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content,
except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had
to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and
looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you
cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses
rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once
more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never
absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

When one of our pets dies, or has to be put to sleep, it is often as traumatic
as if a family member has died. We experience the same grief and tears, and it
can be an extremely trying time.
Collinge & Company have been assisting bereaved families arrange funerals for 24
years, and would be honoured to be of assistance to you during the time of the
loss of your pet. Whether your pet dies at home, or at the vet, all it takes is
one call to our 24 hour number- 0114653288. We will send our
removal vehicle, to the place of death to collect
him or her. All removals are carried out with the same dignity and respect that
you would expect for your parents, and with the same type of equipment.
If euthanasia is pre-arranged, contact us as soon as you have confirmed a time
with the vet, and we will meet you at their surgery. Once you have said your
good-byes, we will transport your pet to our premises in Linden.
Unlike other pet cremation companies, Collinge & Co. do not have a collection
route that we follow, and thus there are no lengthy delays – each cremation is
individual, and will take place no later than the day after collection. We would
need a maximum of two days after the cremation to have the cremated remains
processed and returned to us from the crematorium. We will place the cremated
remains in an urn, and arrange to have the urn delivered to your house.
Collinge & Co. also offer an alternative method of remembering your special
friend
Memorial Jewellery
These are sterling silver or gold-plated pendants that are able to store a small
quantity of your pet's ashes, and thereby keeping part of them close to you.
These pendants are available to any pet owner. If the cremation has been done by
another company, and you have the ashes, please call us; we will gladly come and
fill the pendant at your home. This process takes about 30 minutes. If we do the
cremation, the pendant will be filled prior to the urn and pendant being
delivered.
